Caroline wanted to redesign her website so it is up-to-date with modern UX/UI Patterns. The Site is an e-commerce website as well as a portfolio to enable customers to “meet the artist” and showcase the her previous work.

Meet the Artist
Caroline is an artist based down in Cornwall. She is most notably known for her expressive & characterful animal portraits.
Colour plays a pivotal role in all of Caroline’s life and work; she believes that all living things are enveloped by a revealing energy field, referred to as an aura.
In the eyes of the artist, animals, people and plants all are surrounded by a vibrant ineffable ray of colour indicating their mood, emotions and overall character. Consequently, auras often organically change in the context of space and time. The concept of an aura also transcends into Caroline’s artwork which is a unique reference to a subject in a particular time and space. Her work is always authentic and never reproduced.
The project gave me a real insight into how to engage with business goals and diagnose issues faced with clients’ workflows.
It was important to ask “why”. Every design decision had to be justified and backed with research, usability, or user insight.
Translating Tech Jargon
I really enjoyed working with Caroline. She is a phenomenally talented artist who stereotypically is not tech orientated. And so it was important to translate tech jargon into plain simple English.
I am working to the Clients resources & schedule. So, they will determine when they will make the website live. Although, I have allocated an engineer for the role.
Repeat the current site's performance test
To obtain a more accurate performance result & significant data, I would want to monitor the site’s performance again. This is so I could assess my design impact of the new redesigned website.
